New Team Members
We warmly welcome three exceptional individuals to join our management team. Each will bring complementary skills to advance the CBR Program in the Middle East and beyond.
Helen Barley, who knew of the CBR Project from her previous work in Jordan for War Child, will come on board as Program Director, responsible for direct program delivery, research, development, and specific program out reach. Chris Hoffman will join us later this year as Managing Director CBR Program, after completing his work at World Vision International, East Africa Regional Office. He also knew of CBR and has a deep personal interest and commitment to fulfilling the goals of the program, recognizing the important need in the field for a new vision in staff care.
We believe Chris and Helen are well-placed to help build on the excellent work that has gone on over the past three years in Jordan. And look forward to continuing this work together as the CBR Program grows to reach more aid professionals worldwide. Aside from the Middle East, we will offer CBR events in Africa and Europe.
Earlier, Sander Tideman has joined GII as Executive Director. After having served on the board of GII since its inception in 2011, Sander took on an executive role in 2018 with the aim of expanding GII’s programs in Europe. He also serves on the faculty of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Mobius Executive Leadership in Boston, USA.
